Taos Footwear engaged RICO to create a new Ecommerce solution for their growing online sales initiatives. Utilizing the latest Magento RWD technology, we built a multi-device shopping experience to be a platform for new sales growth on desktops and mobile devices alike.
Flexible eCommerce with Magento
RICO chose to build on the robust features of the Magento platform and provided assistance with integration into SAP Business One. This ensured a robust, connected, but user-friendly back-end that supports a multi-device shopping experience, flexibility, comprehensive product data integration and consistency.
Modular Marketing Freedom
An important part of Taos’ brand ethos is staying adaptable and fresh, having the freedom to change content, but always staying consistent with the brand vision and story. RICO created a series of modular wireframes that gave Taos that flexibility within stability.
Fashionable Design Choices
In addition to the ecommerce renovation, The Taos Footwear online brand needed a visual refresh. RICO worked with Taos to update the brand concepts throughout the site design, building on the brand story, to create a comfortable shopping experience with a simple and beautiful user experience.
A Multi-Device Experience
Since over 37% of US mobile users favor mobile-commerce over in-store a great mobile shopping experience is essential. RICO provided a responsive web design solution that changes the shopping experience based on the users context focused in three areas: desktop, tablet, and mobile. This ensures a harmonious experience from any device utilizing the same store to ensure all updates are centralized, thereby reducing maintenance of multiple sites or solutions.

Presenting a consistent experience to customers also meant transforming communications to give the same usability, look and feel as RICO leveraged the user-friendly features of MailChimp to create a modular Marketing template that enables the Taos team to easily push new content in a responsive, brand-solid way.
